I first tried this Soy Face Cleanser by fresh as a sample from Sephora and immediately loved it. The texture is super smooth and more like a gel, so it doesn't feel as harsh as some face washes BUT it still gets off every lick of makeup! So I decided to go ahead and cop a full size.
I'm in love with the coco-nut oil...
I'm very late to the coconut oil train but I made it. The journey all began with me trying the raved about "oil pulling" process but it just became too inconvenient for me to do every morning. However, I have still been using this glorious oil on my skin/face and I think between this, and Ole Henriksen's Vitamin C serum, my mug which used to be dry on my cheeks and nose is now clearer, moisturized and as soft as a Sam Smith song. I use it as a moisturizer at night.
Then I found Shea Moisture's Coconut & Hibiscus bar soap! I couldn't grab it off the CVS shelf fast enough. It contains coconut oil and a ton of other natural ingredients I didn't even bother to read. Word is coconut oil also gets rid of dark circles under the eye...with more time I'll observe if this is true.
I re-upped on my amika: Nourishing Mask. This stuff has steadily been in my haircare arsenal ever since I worked for the brand over a year ago. It leaves my hair soft but also just smells so good!
Got a few makeup brushes by Morphe. I'm no expert on makeup tools and I've never heard of this brand before but their brushes are pretty inexpensive and popular in the beauty world. They have been getting the job done, specifically the blending brush is my favorite. I found them at the ISSE Long Beach Beauty Expo, which I went to for the first time a couple of weeks ago, so insane, so much happening.
I've been using this new O.P.I "Gel Effects Duo Pack, another expo pick up. It's supposed to be not as harsh as a gel manicure but last longer than the average manicure. It pretty much holds true to that.
I've been on the hunt for a red-orange lip for a while and somehow have instead ended up with this "Riviera" color by Hourglass which is closer to orange but I'm OBSESSED. It seems like lip creams have been the new thing lately. I've learned the trick to making this one look it's best is not blotting your lips together after applying. Fighting that urge allows the color to set and leaves for a really good matte look. I've worn it a lot... A LOT.
